There is one thing you need to know about me, I am not perfect, I am not trying to be, I am not trying to say I know it all, I am not trying to be a
cult leader,a philosopher, a teacher or a prophet. I like to write, I like to express my opinion about things that interest me. Lately I have taken a keen interest in Buddhist
and Taoist teachings. I have browsed through and have read countless articles about consciousness,
the self, and other Material concerned with the topic.I will share with you, my dear readers the lessons
that Taoism, and Buddhism have taught me so far , and how its application can help you
both in your personal lives, as well as your professional careers as it has
done in my life.
Lesson one: Fear
Fear, fear has many forms, this little guy can take many
shapes, and hide behind a variety of feelings, causing negativity, envy.Take a minute think right now, I want you to think
about your worst fears, try to remember the last time you were really afraid.
Now think about this, when you are afraid of something what
do you tend to do. If your are actually confronted by it, I mean for instance,
If I am afraid of cockroaches my first reaction to this would be to avoid them
at any cost. If I see one crawling up a wall in my room,my first thought would be to run,
avoid, run, getaway! In that specific order.
We tend to resort to aversion,
when it comes to things we are afraid of. If someone is afraid of being alone, and not
having anyone, they tend to be clingy. They may try too hard to please people they care
about in their life. This can lead to them not giving their partner enough personal space, and one can feel very suffocated in this position. They may come back say to their fearful partner: "hey ! I need my space, I can’t be with someone
who is so clingy or needy! but until the issue is dealt with ,it will keep coming up. this will take its toll on the relationship ,and might eventually lead to a bitter end. This is what fear does to us,fear is one of the three poisons of life mentioned in Buddhist teachings
Fears can materialize when we constantly worry about them. Fear is powered by a person's consciousness ,this how powerfull your mind is ! I am now alone, my girlfriend has broken up with me, and the reason for it is I was afraid she would!I got an interview, I am afraid I might not get the job, or the interviewer might not like me.This can lead to me being nervous , we all know what happens if you are nervous at an interview don’t we? Or I might try too hard, I might throw in a lie or two, then the truth might come out in later interviews. The interviewer unimpressed, then decides to reject my application, and go with someone else, what happened there? I ask you friend. Your fear materialized it self.because you didn't stop to face it ,you didn't stop being afraid !

Irrational fear knows no limits |
Why did this happen, because your mind is the creator, it
will give you what you ask for. When you think about your fears constantly and
you don’t resolve them, you unconsciously work to materialize them. You see it’s
all connected, your thoughts are your reality.Don’t take my word for it, just google Rene Descartes
who dissected the Buddhist thought: “I think, therefore I Am”.
In fact I won’t say any more about it here. That’s your homework,
read my friend, learn, no one can teach you better then you .
So how do we resolve our fears? easy, face them, think long
and hard about why you’re afraid ,what is the root of it, has this fear been
projected on you by someone you know or knew, is it because of a traumatic experience?
If so why not resolve it. Go see a therapist seeing a therapist doesn't mean you’re
crazy. I myself have had plenty of pleasant conversations with therapist, and
have never been disappointed. If you can’t
afford a therapist talk to someone about it,but don’t take crazy remedy’s or
buy drugs that some unqualified person, might try to push on you in your vulnerable moment. Read about it, find people online who might feel the same and might
want to resolve it as well. Whichever way, you must stop it from holding you
down. Just kick it in the ass !! And tell it to buzz off! Be
strong, be positive, and believe in yourself, and the power of your will! practice the practical Zen: Meditate my friend! Don’t know how? Find a you tube
video, here is one I found :
So with that I’ll leave you, untill the next post, I wish you peace,
and tranquility.I want to hear your thoughts about this , leave a comment. leave your questions, and I will get back to you.
